A. J. Godfrey #01 – end grain chopping board
Crafted with skill and creativity, this end grain chopping board is a stunning blend of reclaimed timber including beech, walnut, maple, mahogany and oak. Its intricate design showcases the natural beauty of the grain, while providing a durable and functional chopping surface. Every board is unique.
The oak in this board is from Arthur Godfrey’s butchers which was demolished to make way for the Hammersmith Flyover that opened in 1963. The oak countertops from the shop were stored for more than 60 years before finding their way to my workshop.
